Scottish Government to pay £12 million for a new timeline

With the ongoing problems with the CAP System the Scottish government has been forced to update the timeline as displayed on the rural payments site.

A quote has apparently been received for £12 million to have the work done.

When asked why this was so expensive a Scottish Government spokeswoman said:

“the graphic is very complicated with 6 colours if you include both boxes and text. The team will have to get the new text to fit in the boxes and then slide them around and even change the dates. It will take a lot of people and will involve some quite complex dragging and colouring.”

  1. I would suggest there are plenty of school pupils who could achieve that particular exercise for a great deal less than £12million. Imagine the benefit to the education budget if we looked to our own home grown talents to perform such complicated graphics.
