Scottish Government left red face by link between Youth and Graduate Unemployment and Tier 2 Visa Abuse on its own project

It is claimed that the Scottish Government has so far spent nearly £200m of public money on the ill-fated AFRC (CAPs) Project and yet, despite bringing in nearly 300 migrant workers from India to do the work, they have failed to recruit a single IT Graduate or young trainee to work on the system.

A recent report shows that this has happened amidst a background of record levels of unemployed IT Graduates and unprecedented levels of youth unemployment.

Meanwhile it is alleged that the Delivery Director of this Government project actually owned the agency that brought in the migrant workers from India, netting a personal fortune of several million pounds whilst forsaking local highly skilled and unemployed young people who could have used the opportunity to start out in a career in Information Technology.

The CAP project remains the subject of a criminal investigation by the Economic Crime Unit.
